Based in Riverside, CA, SmartBot360, a UCR spin-off company & part of Riverside ExCITE, lets healthcare companies to create, manage and share AI chatbots. Through its AI-chat bot technology specifically for the healthcare vertical, SmartBot360 wants to reduce the mundane and manual tasks like answering FAQs, making appointments, collecting feedback, sending reminders, or making sale pitches.

The platform lets companies to to increase the number of reached customers, by offloading routine interactions to the AI-powered chatbots.

Chatbot Templates

The startup states that it analyzed over one hundred thousand patient-to-chatbot conversations helping it to design effective chatbot templates for most healthcare domains. It provides practice-specific chatbots including for Bariatrics, Dermatology, Optometry, Counseling.

Chatbots and humans work together through easy to define triaging handover protocols. Customers can monitor and analyze ongoing sessions, starting new chatbot campaigns, and directly chatting with the customers.

Man Hours Saved

The platform has easily measured ROI based on man hours saved for customer service (e.g., for FAQ bots) or customer relations management (e.g., engagement, retention). The chatbots are HIPAA-compliant and can be deployed on Facebook Messenger, SMS, Web pages, or other media.

The startup is based in Riverside, CA and was founded by Vagelis Hristidis, a Computer Science Professor at UCR, with expertise on text and big data analytics. Originally, the startup was backed by the National Science Foundation.
